Our family of 4 is in need of help in any way you can spare.  My husband and I have a 9yr old son and a 3yr old daughter.  Not only is Christmas coming up that we don't have money for but so is our house payment, car payments (both at repo stages), our cell phone has already been shut off and our house phone is about to be shut off any day.  My husband did excavating which is just not an option for a career in Michigan anymore.  He now has been on a permenate lay off for over 8 weeks, can't find a job and his unemployment for the entire month doesn't even pay the house payment, forget about keeping a car payment made, or electric, propane, gas for getting to the doctors, getting my daughter to head start, etc.  We did manage to qualify for $43 a month in food stamps, which really isn't much at all but it's something.  Our children do have Medicaid but my husband and I haven't had health insurance in over 2 yrs.  I have no experience or schooling to speak of so if I was/am lucky enough to get a job it would be a simple min. wage job which isn't going to help get back up to par.  My husband is so desperate to keep his family going that he has enrolled in trucking school in another state to get a good steady job to support his family.  He will be away for 3-4 weeks at a time and home 2-3 days after each run.  That is commitment, but even with him doing this it will take about 2 months min. to catch up on everything, which in 2 months we will have lost everything we are fighting so hard to keep our house, car, and any other ness. things we can't provide financially right now.

so i got fired yesterday for a mistake that i made and its funny im the type of person not to ever make that mistake. i drove by my OLD job and i wanted to go in.. i cried myself to sleep last nite cuz i dont know what im going to do.. both my kids are in daycare and i told the daycare that i was pulling them out after thurs cuz there was no way i could afford for them to go there ne more. close to $600 every two weeks.. my boyfriend tries to help but theres only so much he can do.. im afraid that im not going to make it i hate it christmas is coming ever so slowly and we were barely making ends meet before i lost my job.. ive applied everywhere that i can and can think of right now.. i dont have a college education so finding a job is even harder

does neone have ne ideas???

I moved to houston, tx in November of 2006 for a new job. In February of 2007 I was laid off. I did not find work again until April, but my rent fell behind because of all the expenses I had to take care of for my kids. I wasn't able to catch up on my rent, and because my apartments don't take partial payments I got further and further behind. With all of the late fees. I am working, I just need a second chance. I can't afford to pay a lot of money to move in and I am willing to live in an efficiency until i can do better. I am still living in the apartment, but I don't know what day they're going to put my things out. I have no family here other than my 2 year old and 6 year old. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

My husband is totally disabled and unable to work. I have a lot of health problems, and can't work. I tried to get SS disability, but was turned down because I haven't worked since 1999. We moved to take care of my father, and when he had to go to a senior home, we had to borrow against our car to pay his first/last month rent. He has since moved into a lock down facility elsewhere, due to my brothers. We did not get our deposit back and we're still paying loan on car off. Car was hit on May 01,2007 and we've been told it is a total loss. Wreck was not my fault, but other driver. His insurance company is trying to force us into a settlement, that I don't think is fair. They also informed me on 05-08-07, that I have until 05-11-07 to accept, clean out car of my belongings, and turn rental car in. This car was the only source of transportation we have, and I don't see how we're supposed to get check( unfair amount) from them,pay note off, and find another car in 3 days. We've gotten behind the 8 ball in our bills, and can't get out. Our power is off, landlord is threatening to evict us, water may get turned off soon, and now this wreck happened. I've been having back, chest, and left elbow pain since wreck, but not sure if insurance will pay it since I didn't report it? We have 2 teenagers who have gone through all of this bad luck with us, and I would like to get things fixed so they don't have to go without things they need. PLEASE  HELP with whatever you can.
